MANILA, Philippines — The satellite offices of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) will give medical and burial assistance to those in need.

OVP spokesperson Atty. Reynold Munsayac said Wednesday the satellite offices, launched on the first day of Vice President Sara Duterte in the office on July 1, aim to provide people outside of Metro Manila access to social services.

“These established satellite offices across the country will widen the program’s reach and guarantee a better provision of assistance,” Munsayac said in a statement.

The OVP said the satellite offices offer medical and burial assistance through identified partner hospitals or direct walk-in applications.

Applicants for medical and burial assistance must complete the following requirements:

1. Filled-out application form

2. Submit the complete requirements and form via walk-in to the satellite office processor/staff

3. Wait for the processing of the application

4. The processor/staff will inform the applicant of the date of issuance of assistance that will be provided personally or via email

The complete steps and requirements can be accessed at this website: https://bit.ly/VPSDServes, the OVP said.

The OVP opened six satellite offices in Dagupan, Cebu, Tacloban, Zamboanga, Davao, and Tandag in Surigao del Sur.

Munsayac said the Vice President still plans to open more satellite offices to reach more Filipinos across the country.

The OVP said the annual General Appropriations Act funded the medical and burial assistance programs as subsidies.
