LUCENA CITY—Police arrested nine suspected drug pushers and seized shabu (crystal meth) worth more than P409,000 in buy-bust operations on July 4 and 5 in Rizal province.
The Police Regional Office 4A reported that joint police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives nabbed Yvette Salazar and Kier Gonzales in a sting operation at 1:20 a.m. on July 5 in Barangay San Andres in Cainta town.
Seized from the suspects were eight sachets of shabu weighing 30 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P204,000.
In Antipolo City, PDEA agents and police also busted at 7:55 p.m. on July 4 John Michael Olasco, Janell Mondejar, Arjel Olasco, and John Ernest Roque in Barangay Dela Paz.
The four suspects yielded 15 grams of shabu worth P103,500.
In another operation, police also collared around 11:30 p.m. Eleonor Brion in the same village.
The suspect was carrying three sachets of meth with a DDB value of P20,400.
The police in Taytay town arrested Rosalito Roquina and Mary Rose Baita after selling a pack of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Sta. Ana.
The duo yielded eight sachets of meth weighing 12 grams worth about P81,600. The police also confiscated a van allegedly used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.
All suspects are under police custody and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
