MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna–Pangan said Monday she aims to establish super health centers with complete equipment in the country’s capital city during her first 100 days in office.
In her inauguration speech, she shared her plans to strengthen the capacity to deliver quality healthcare services to the public.
(We are aiming to build super health centers that can provide complete basic laboratory tests, have their portable X-ray, electrocardiogram machine, and many more so that these will be more accessible and people will no longer need to go to hospitals for the basic needs that I have mentioned.)
Lacuna-Pangan also advised the city health sector to be ready amid the possible rise of COVID-19 cases.
(Please hope that we will try to provide all your needs to ensure that we continue to provide appropriate and adequate care to our citizens.)
Lacuna-Pangan said her administration would continue to provide social pensions for senior citizens and financial assistance for single parents and persons with disabilities.
She noted building a proper establishment that will adequately serve seniors and strengthen the Office for Senior Citizen Affairs management.
