MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and most of Luzon will continue to have fair weather and scattered rain on Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
“Malaking bahagi ng Luzon makakaranas ng maaliwalas na panahon na may pulong pulong pagulan,” said Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina ina weather report late Sunday afternoon.
(Large parts of Luzon will experience clear weather with scattered rain.)
“Samantalang sa may Batanes at Babuyan Islands posible pa rin maging maulap ang kalangitan na may mga kalat kalat na pagulan pagkidlat at pagkulog,” he added.
(While in Batanes and the Babuyan Islands the sky may turn cloudy with scattered rain, lightning and thunder.)
Meanwhile the easterlies and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) may carry rain and overcast skies over central and eastern Visayas on Monday, as well as the eastern portions of Mindanao.
The rest of Mindanao and the Visayas meanwhile, will have fair weather with chances of rain due to isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
No gale warning was raised on the country’s surrounding coasts and in-land seas, Badrina however warned of moderate to rough sea conditions off Batanes and the Babuyan Islands.
The state weather service said the temperature range in key cities/areas across the country for Monday will be:
Metro Manila: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius
Baguio City: 16 to 23 degrees Celsius
Laoag City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
Tuguegarao: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
Legazpi City: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
Puerto Princesa City: 26 to 31 degrees Celsius
Tagaytay: 22 to 30 degrees Celsius
Kalayaan Islands: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
Iloilo City: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius
Cebu: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
Tacloban City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
Cagayan De Oro City: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius
Zamboanga City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
Davao City: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius
