Fire hits kitchen of Pasay City hotel

MANILA, Philippines — Fire broke out in the kitchen of a hotel in Pasay City on Sunday, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported.

The BFP said that the first alarm was raised at the Sofitel Hotel at 11:37 a.m.

The blaze was placed under control by 12:01 p.m. Fire out was declared eight minutes later.

No one was reported hurt in the incident, said authorities.

Damage caused by the fire was placed at around P160,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, the BFP said.
