PDEA nabs 4 in Bulacan drug den raid

CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE — Four persons were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bulacan during a raid of an alleged drug den that followed  a buy-bust operation on Friday night, July 1, a report said Saturday.

The suspects identified as Romeo Flores Jr., 40, the alleged drug den maintainer, Jonalyn Calugay, 42; Peter Awitan, 39, and Michael Ramirrez, 43, all from Barangay (village) Minuyan Proper were arrested at around 9:50 p.m. while in the act of allegedly selling drugs.

PDEA Bulacan said Flores is included in the PDEA-Philippine National Police Unified Watchlist and is tagged as a high-value-target.

Seized from the arrested suspects were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 13 grams of suspected shabu worth P65,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the money used in the bust.

Complaints for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspects.
