MANILA, Philippines — Mount Bulusan in Sorsogon had 15 volcanic earthquakes in a 24-hour period, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported on Saturday.

The 15 volcanic tremors were recorded from July 1, 5 a.m. to July 2, 5 a.m. The figure is lower than the 25 volcanic earthquakes logged a day before.

The restive volcano, which remains under Alert Level 1 or low-level unrest,  emitted 724 tons of sulfur dioxide during the same period.
