DOH Bicol records 127% increase in COVID-19 cases
LEGAZPI CITY — The Department of Health (DOH) has recorded a 127 percent increase in cases of COVID-19 in the Bicol region.
In a report released on Thursday, the DOH Bicol Center for Health Development (CHD) said 50 new cases were recorded in the June 22-28 monitoring, higher than 22 cases recorded last week.
The province of Sorsogon recorded 15 new cases, 11 in Camarines Sur, 10 in Catanduanes, nine in Albay, and five in Camarines Norte.
“If the present trend continues, cases are projected to increase,” the agency said.
DOH Bicol urged the public to continue practicing health protocols and reminded those who are due for booster doses to get their booster shots.
