Another 12 bills lapse into law as Duterte ends Presidential term

MANILA, Philippines — As outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte bade goodbye to his office, 12 more measures have been left without his signature, including establishing and converting the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in some areas of the country.

Malacañang on Wednesday released 12 more bills that have lapsed into law without the President’s signature, including those that establish and convert school campuses, rename provincial bridges, declare holidays, and grant Philippine citizenship.

Legislative measures lapse into law if the President does not act on them after 30 days of receipt.

The said bills lapsed into law between May 27 to June 2.
