The same data showed that the health department also verified at least 15 deaths due to COVID-19 in the past week.

The healthcare utilization rate in the region, however, remained at a “safe” level with 43 of the 231 intensive care unit (ICU) beds dedicated to COVID-19 patients already occupied.

At least 12 percent or 183 out of the 1,551 non-ICU beds were occupied, the DOH added.

Of the 3.6 million individuals in the region already fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease as of June 25, only 22.93 percent or 848,123 residents had received their booster shots. INQ
