Minor, 2 others nabbed in Bicol police operations
LEGAZPI CITY — A 17-year-old student and two other suspects were arrested in separate police operations in Albay and Sorsogon provinces on Friday.
Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said the high school student was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Peñaranda in Legazpi City, Albay at around 8:55 p.m.
Confiscated during the operation were two sachets of shabu (crystal meth) and a revolver of unknown caliber with three live bullets.
In Polangui, Albay, Sherwin Mabini, 38, was also arrested in a search operation in Barangay Kinale at around 8:30 p.m.
Calubaquib said police recovered a caliber .45 pistol with nine live bullets.
In Sorsogon, Edwin Ibalan, 51, was also arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pangpang in West District, Sorsogon City at around 4:30 p.m.
Authorities confiscated a sachet of shabu, P500 buy-bust money and a caliber .38 gun with three live bullets.
