MANILA, Philippines — Rainy episodes are expected in Metro Manila and large parts of Luzon on Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa said localized thunderstorms are expected over Quezon, Zambales, and Bataan in the morning.
Rains are also expected in the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, parts of Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and Calabarzon in the afternoon.
“Asahan na ang mga pulo-pulong pag-ulan. Magdala ng payong at posible itong magdala ng minsang malakas na hangin at malakas na pag-ulan,” Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said.
(Expect isolated rain showers. Bring an umbrella because this may bring strong winds and rains.)
Meanwhile, the state weather bureau said generally fair weather is expected over large parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.
Isolated rain showers, however, are expected in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Antique, Aklan, and Samar provinces in the afternoon.
Pagasa said no storm is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility until the weekend, but the formation of a low pressure area is still possible until the end of the month.
