Easterlies to bring rains over Cagayan Valley; clear weather for rest of PH – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies will bring rains over Cagayan Valley on Friday, while generally fair weather is expected in the rest of the country, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Inaasahan pa rin natin ang patuloy na maulap na papawirin na may mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan, pagkulog diyan sa may Cagayan area [dahil sa easterlies],” said Pagasa weather specialist Raymond Ordinario.

(Due to the easterlies, we expect to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in the Cagayan area.)

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience clear weather, except for some isolated rain showers and localized thunderstorms.

No gale warning was also raised despite the prevailing easterlies, said Ordinario, as only slight to moderate sea conditions are expected throughout the country’s surrounding coasts.

The weather bureau also does not expect any weather disturbances to affect the country or enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three to five days.
