Cops nab 6 drug suspects in Rizal, Cavite; seized P523K shabu

LUCENA CITY—Anti-narcotics agents arrested six drug suspects and seized more than P523,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in buy-bust operations Wednesday in Rizal and Cavite provinces.

The Police Regional Office 4A reported that the police drug enforcement unit arrested Lucky Saavedra and Rodsan Amparo around 4:45 a.m. in Barangay Ampid 1 in San Mateo, Rizal.

Seized from the suspects were 11 sachets of shabu weighing 66 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of about P448,800.

The police tagged Saavedra as a high-value individual in the local drug scene.

The suspects were carrying five sachets of meth with a DDB value of P34,000.

Police also nabbed Louie Dela Cruz and Arwind Dela Peña around 4:40 a.m. in Barangay Zapote 1 in Bacoor City, Cavite.

The suspects yielded seven sachets of shabu worth P40,800 in the street market.

All suspects were detained and charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
