MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—Ten of the province’s 21 localities are free of COVID-19.
The June 19 records from the provincial epidemiology and surveillance unit show that the towns with zero active COVID-19 cases are Magalang, Guagua, Sasmuan, Apalit, Macabebe, Masantol, Minalin, San Simon, Santo Tomas, and San Luis.
Pampanga has 48 active cases, the provincial government’s June 19 update says.
The City of San Fernando has the most active cases at 14, followed by Mabalacat (11), Porac (8), Bacolor (4), Lubao (4), Santa Rita (2), Floridablanca (1), Arayat (1), Mexico (1), Santa Ana (1), and Candaba (1).
Pampanga has recorded 56,764 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in 2020. Of these, 54,125 had recovered, while 2,591 had died.
The nearby Angeles City, a highly urbanized locality politically independent from Pampanga, has 10 active patients as of June 19. It has recorded 14,716 cases since 2020, of which 14,164 had recovered, while 542 had died from the viral disease.
