MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Daily Inquirer, a member of the Inquirer Group of Companies, has apologized for the photos of Demetrio Vicente on its front page in this Wednesday’s issue that drew widespread criticism.
“It has come to our attention that our photos of witness Demetrio Vicente on our front page today have offended some of our readers. For this we sincerely apologize. It was not our intention to disparage Mr. Vicente in any way,” the Inquirer said in a statement.
