Bakery in Quezon City robbed; suspects escape

MANILA, Philippines – A group of unidentified suspects robbed a bakery in Quezon City early Wednesday and carted away its earnings, police said.

Senior Police Officer 2 Nado Badiongan said Pan de Manila’s branch at the corner of D. Tuazon and N. Roxas streets was robbed by six suspects who posed as customers at around 4 a.m.

Cashier Analyn Carmona was quoted as saying that one of the suspects threatened to shoot her with a caliber .45, forcing her to hand over the bakery’s P13,000 earnings and her mobile phone.

Witnesses claimed that the suspects escaped on board a dark blue pick-up with plate number NPT 474.

He said police were investigating the incident.
