LUCENA CITY, Philippines – Anti-narcotics agents arrested eight drug suspects on Friday, June 17, and seized more than P751,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations in Cavite, Rizal and Quezon provinces.
The Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police reported Saturday that anti-illegal drugs operatives nabbed Renato Coching, Raysan Bantilan, Junnyboy Ocampo, and Roderick Garcia at 11 p.m. in Barangay (village) Queensrow East in Bacoor City, Cavite.
The four were reportedly found in possession of eight plastic sachets of shabu weighing 50 grams with an estimated street value of P340,000.
In Taytay, Rizal, policemen also busted Arnel Dela Rama in Barangay Sta. Ana around 9:40 p.m.
The suspect yielded 25 grams of meth worth P170,000 in the street market.
Cops likewise arrested Ernanie Arances with 14 sachets of shabu in the village of Dolores, also in Taytay, around 6 p.m.
The seized meth had a street value of P149,124.
In Lucena City, Police Lt. Col. Reynaldo Reyes, city police chief, identified the arrested suspected peddlers of shabu as Lilibeth Ebreo and Renalyn Escudero.
Escudero was collared in Barangay Dalahican at 11:19 a.m. while in possession of P50,592 worth of shabu.
Anti-narcotics agents busted Ebreo in another sting operation in Ibabang Iyam village at around 7:15 a.m.
Authorities seized P41,412 worth of shabu from the suspect.
All suspects were detained and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /ra
