Pagasa: Fair weather in most parts of PH; rain expected in Zamboanga, Mindoro, Palawan
MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather is expected in most of the country on Saturday, but scattered rains and thunderstorms will persist in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Mindoro, and Palawan due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The state weather bureau advised residents in affected areas to watch out for flash floods or landslides, which may be triggered during moderate to at times heavy rain.
Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin also noted that most of the archipelago, including Metro Manila, will have calmer weather conditions, but isolated rain showers may still occur toward the end of the day.
“Mainit at maaraw nga lang and then, ‘yong mga pag-ulan na mararanasan, sa hapon at gabi most likely,” Bulquerin stressed.
(The weather will be hot and humid, but rain showers are likely in the afternoon and evening.)
Pagasa also assured that for the next three days, no low pressure area is expected to form or enter the Philippine area of responsibility.
