THE LIVING Word IBI capped off their undefeated run in the 35-above division by capturing the championship after beating the Christian Workers Basketball Association Poimen, 100-82, in the finals of the 2012 Fellowship of Christian Athletes Basketball League at the Living Word Christian Church Center in Banawa.
IBI was led by former PBL player Mario Suarez, who nabbed the Most Valuable Player award and was joined in the Mythical Five by Wellington Yu, Fred Camacho of Cebu Bethel Temple, Denz Rudinas of CWBA and Allan Pelinio of Living Word Couples Ministry.
The third place trophy went to the Couples Ministry after they upended the CBT Lights, 72-68.
