Motorcyclist dead in hit-and-run in Cavite

LUCENA CITY––A motorcycle rider died in a hit-and-run incident early today in General Trias City in Cavite province.

The Calabarzon police identified the fatality in a report as Arjay Reyes.

The report said Reyes was traversing the highway when a truck with an unknown plate number traveling in the opposite direction sideswiped him at 1:30 a.m. in Barangay Pinagtipunan.

Reyes suffered grave injuries and died on the way to the hospital.

The truck driver sped off after the incident, the report said.

The police are conducting further investigation to identify the truck and its driver.
