LUCENA CITY––A former drug convict was arrested Tuesday and yielded more than P29,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth), the police said.
Marlon Abellera, 30, of this city was collared at 7:05 a.m. by anti-illegal drugs operatives in a buy-bust operation in the coastal village of Dalahican, Police Lieutenant Colonel Reynaldo Reyes, Lucena cop chief, said in a report.
Authorities confiscated five plastic sachets of meth worth P29,580 in the street market.
The police report tagged Abellera as a “street-level individual” on the drug watchlist and a former detainee over drug pushing charges.
Rehabilitated drug users and former clients identified him as one of the suppliers of shabu to fisherfolk, dockworkers, and other drug dependents in the village and nearby areas.
Now jailed, the suspect faces charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
