MANILA — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Monday assured that it would release “the soonest” statements of contributions and expenditures (SOCEs) of candidates in the 2022 polls.
“The CFO (Campaign Finance Office) is now in the process of collating all SOCEs submitted throughout the nation, and they are culling pertinent data relative to compliance with Sections 13 and 14 of RA7166, in relation to pertinent Sections of Article XI of the Omnibus Election Code,” Comelec acting spokesperson Rex Laudiangco told reporters.
“Said data shall be released the soonest, in full compliance with the Commission’s policies on transparency and data privacy,” he added.
June 8 was the deadline for the submission of SOCE. The national and local elections in the country were conducted last May 9.
Laudiangco also said there are 32 election protest cases pending before the poll body, “most of which have been scheduled for Preliminary Conference.”
“All others will likewise be similarly scheduled,” he said.
