CIDG ‘asset’ gunned down in Bacolod City
BACOLOD CITY — An “asset” of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group was killed while he was having coffee at Purok Malipayon, Barangay 35, Bacolod City, on Wednesday morning.
Jose Allan Braza, 59, of Barangay 35, was having coffee around 6:50 a.m. June 8 when one of two persons sitting beside him shot him on the head twice with a .45 caliber pistol, said Maj. Ramel Sarona, chief of Police Station 1.
Witnesses said the assailant and his companion then walked away and boarded a motorcycle.
Sarona said they have yet to determine the identity of the assailant and the motive behind the killing.
