MANILA, Philippines — President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is set to meet with United States Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman on Thursday, June 9.
This was according to Marcos Jr.’s incoming Executive Secretary, Atty. Vic Rodriguez.
“Tomorrow,” Rodriguez said in a Viber message when asked about when the meeting will take place.
No further details about the meeting were given.

Sherman, who is the second-highest diplomat in the US, will meet with Marcos Jr., as well as senior officials of both the incoming and outgoing administrations “to discuss new ways to deepen” the alliance between Manila and Washington, the US State Department said in an earlier statement.
Sherman’s visit to the Philippines is part of her 10-day visit to Asia from June 5-14. She will be arriving in Manila from Seoul, which is her first stop.
