Olongapo centenarian gets P100,000 cash gift from DSWD

OLONGAPO CITY––A centenarian resident in this city had received P100,000 from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said Wednesday, June 8.

Paulino handed over the cash gift to Filomina Valdez of Barangay Mabayuan, who just turned 100.

Under Republic Act (RA) No. 10868, or the Centenarians Act of 2016, Filipino citizens who reach 100 years old, and above, will receive a cash gift from the DSWD.

Amid the threat of COVID-19 transmission, the DSWD has adopted a house-to-house delivery of the cash gift.
