2 victims of summary execution found in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines—Two men whose bodies were found on a grassy area in  Barangay Boalan here on Monday were victims of summary execution, the police said.

Chief Inspector Haywien Salvado, head of the police station in Zamboanga’s Divisoria district, said the victims had one gunshot wound each in the head.

“The heads of the two cadavers were covered with plastic bags and wrapped with packing tape. Their hands were hogtied,” he said.

Salvado said the identities of the victims or their killers were not known. What was certain, he said, was that they were killed elsewhere and their bodies dumped in Boalan as residents heard nothing unusual prior to the discovery of the bodies.
