MANILA, Philippines — The country has 564 new physical therapists and 88 new occupational therapists after passing the licensure examination for the professions.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced this Tuesday, noting that a total of 1,032 took the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination while 247 took the Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination on June 3-4 in various testing centers located in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and Pampanga.
The University of the Philippines Manila graduate Jean Ella Marie Taruc Razon topped passers of the Physical Therapist licensure test with a score of 88.05 percent. Trailing her was Kevin Anthony Gutierrez Patron from De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, who obtained 88 percent, and two third-placers Yuji Uy Espejo and Krisma Shantal Guanio Ponsaran, both of the University of Santo Tomas and with a score of 87.55 percent.
Meanwhile, only two passers of the Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination were listed as top-notchers, namely: Anne Marydon Vera Lariosa, of the University of Santo Tomas, at first place with a score of 81 percent, and Bryan Arcenas Geguiento, of the Emilio Aguinaldo College Manila, with a score of 80 percent.
