Negros Occidental gives P3000-bonus to provincial employees

Negros Occidental's COVID-19 cases rise to 30
BACOLOD CITY—The Negros Occidental provincial government has began distributing the P3,000 anniversary bonus to its employees.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrado Diaz said on Monday that the bonus is given to regular and casual employees of the provincial government.
Department of Budget and Management Circular 65 dated March 3, 1997 provides that every five years, government officials and employees are entitled to an anniversary bonus amounting to P3,000.
The funds for the anniversary bonus were in the 2022 annual budget, Diaz said.
The bonus was granted based on Provincial Ordinance No. 006, Series of 2011, declaring May 1, 1901 as the date Negros Occidental was created.
Meanwhile, 2,894 residents of Isabela, Negros Occidental, who lost their homes to Typhoon “Odette” will receive, on Jan. 7, P5,000 each in aid from the National Housing Authority.
