Drug suspect yields over P500K worth of shabu in Cebu City

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has recovered more than P500,000 worth of suspected crystal meth, locally known as shabu, during an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Labangon, Cebu City.

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has recovered more than P500,000 worth of suspected crystal meth, locally known as shabu, during an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Labangon, Cebu City.

In a statement, the PNP said the regional anti-narcotics operatives arrested 30-year-old Adrian Montecillo Isma on Sunday night.

“Recovered from Isma’s possession were five medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and two large heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, weighing more or less 75 grams with an estimated standard drug price of P510,000 and buy-bust money,” PNP detailed.

The drug suspect is currently under the custody of Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 7.
