CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan, Philippines — Twelve municipalities and one city in Bulacan are now COVID-19 free, provincial health authorities announced over the weekend.
Bulacan Provincial Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (PESU) officer Brian Alfonso said that as of Friday, the City of Meycauayan and the municipalities of Balagtas, Baliwag, Bustos, Doña Remedios Trinidad (DRT), Guiguinto, Norzagaray, Obando, Paombong, Pulilan, San Ildefonso, San Miguel and San Rafael have zero active cases.
Bulacan’s previous 82 active cases also declined to 61, the PESU office reported.
Fifteen of the active cases were recorded in Bocaue, 10 each in the City of San Jose del Monte and Hagonoy, six in Marilao and five in Malolos.
All patients are on home isolation as the Bulacan Infection Control Center, the provincial public hospital that handles COVID-19 cases, had already discharged last week its last patient – a 45-year-old male.
Bulacan’s total COVID-19 cases since March 2020 is 109,518 with 107,759 recoveries and 1,698 deaths.
