MANILA, Philippines — The Visayas regions and Masbate province will experience scattered rains caused by the easterlies on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.
“Dito po sa may bandang Masbate, magkakaroon po ng maulap na kalangitan na may mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan bunsod po ‘yan sa tinatawag nating easterlies,” Pagasa weather specialist Samuel Duran said in a public weather forecast.
(In Masbate, there will be overcast skies with scattered rain showers due to the easterlies.)
“Sa may Visayas naman po, buong Kabisayaan ay makakaranas po ng maulap na kalangitan na may mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan dahil nga po ‘yan sa binaggit natin kanina na easterlies,” he added.
(The entire Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers because of easterlies as well.)
The rest of the country meanwhile will have hot and humid weather with chances of isolated rain showers triggered by localized thunderstorms.
No gale warning is raised over the country’s seaboards, said Duran.
The state weather bureau likewise reported that no weather disturbance is threatening the country.
