MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather is expected over most parts of the country this weekend, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

The state weather bureau on Friday said the ridge of a high-pressure area northwest of the country is blocking the formation of cloud bands from forming and that clear skies are expected in many areas nationwide.

No weather disturbance is also expected in the next three to five days, Pagasa said.

Similar conditions are expected to persist over Visayas and Mindanao, as Davao City and Tacloban City may have temperatures between 25 to 32 degrees Celsius, and 24 to 33 degrees in Iloilo and Zamboanga cities,, 25 to 33 degrees over Cebu, and 24 to 30 degrees in Cagayan de Oro City.

No gale warning has been raised over any of the country’s seaboards.
