Pagasa sees fair weekend weather in most parts of PH
MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather is expected over most parts of the country this weekend, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The state weather bureau on Friday said the ridge of a high-pressure area northwest of the country is blocking the formation of cloud bands from forming and that clear skies are expected in many areas nationwide.
No weather disturbance is also expected in the next three to five days, Pagasa said.
Isolated rain showers, however, may still occur in the afternoon in some areas, due to localized thunderstorms.
Due to the clear skies, temperatures are expected to be relatively high over Luzon, ranging from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila and Legazpi, and 25 to 32 degrees in Laoag City and Puerto Princesa City, 25 to 34 degrees in Tuguegarao City, and 17 to 23 degrees in Baguio City.
Article continues after this advertisementSimilar conditions are expected to persist over Visayas and Mindanao, as Davao City and Tacloban City may have temperatures between 25 to 32 degrees Celsius, and 24 to 33 degrees in Iloilo and Zamboanga cities,, 25 to 33 degrees over Cebu, and 24 to 30 degrees in Cagayan de Oro City.
No gale warning has been raised over any of the country’s seaboards.
