The gunman  fled on board a motorcycle driven by an accomplice.

A woman and a retired police official were also hit by stray bullets during the incident.

Senining said that though he knew Lupin, he had no hand in the crime.

Senining’s friend Gina Solo also defended him.

“Alas onse naman na siya nimata atong panahona kay nagpatimbang sa junkshop (He woke up around 11 a.m. already at that time because he went to the junkshop),” said Solo.

The victim’s live-in partner,  Rosalie Viajante, however, believes that  Senining was involved in the crime since he was seen at the area several times before the incident.
