Minor yields gun in Mandaue

A 17-year-old boy was arrested by police after he was caught with an unlicensed gun while in a drinking session with  friends in barangay Tabok, Mandaue City, Sunday evening.

The minor from lower Tabok is now detained at the police station 3 in barangay Basak.

Police were roving when they chanced upon a group of minors, whom police later learned to be members of the Crips gang,  having a drinking session along the road.

Police asked the youths to raise their shirts but one acted suspiciously, which   prompted them to search further.

A .22 black widow revolver with three live ammunitions was seized from the pocket of the suspect.

Police are coordinating with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for the filing of a case against the minor./CORRESPONDENT NORMANV. MENDOZA
