MANILA, Philippines — A generally fair weather throughout the Philippines on Wednesday is possible, the state weather bureau said as the low-pressure area (LPA) is anticipated to dissolve Tuesday night.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA was last located 70 km south-southeast of Romblon, Romblon.

Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina also noted a weak southwest monsoon, locally known as “habagat,” which would not influence the climate in any part of the country.

“Maaliwalas na panahon ang mararanasan sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon, dahil sa ngayon ay mahina ang hanging habagat at hindi ito nakakaapekto sa ano mang bahagi ng ating bansa sa kasalukuyan,” said Badrina in a weather report late Tuesday afternoon.

(Clear weather will be experienced in large parts of Luzon, as the southwest monsoon is currently weak and it does not affect any part of our country at present.)

“Mga localized thunderstorms o rain showers lang ang inaasahan pagdating ng hapon hanggang sa gabi,” he added.

(Only localized thunderstorms or rain showers are expected by afternoon through evening.)

The same weather situation could be seen in Visayas and Mindanao on Wednesday, according to Badrina.

Pagasa likewise raised no gale warning all over the country’s seaboards, noting that only slight to moderate sea conditions are expected throughout the Philippines’ coasts and in-land seas.

It also released the following temperature range in key cities/areas across the country for Wednesday:
