LIGAO CITY — Continuous monitoring coupled with seek and destroy activities are being done by health personnel after 11 dengue cases were recorded in this city since January.
Dr. Wynns Samar, city health officer, told Inquirer in a text message that the figure was recorded from January up to May 1.
“The patients were six males and five females from three years old, being the youngest, and 31 years old as the oldest,” Samar said.
He said the city health personnel and the barangay dengue brigade are making rounds to inspect the environment and reminding the residents to remove and dispose used tires, cans and bottles that can hold stagnant water that might become mosquito breeding sites.
Misting and fumigation are also being done in villages where dengue cases were reported.
