MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather with chances of rain will prevail throughout the country on Wednesday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Sa Luzon patuloy pa rin natin na inaasahan ang mga maaliwalas na panahon, maliban na lang sa isolated rain showers or thunderstorms,” said Pagasa weather specialist Raymond Ordinario.
(In Luzon we continue to expect clear weather, except for isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.)
“Inaasahan din natin na dito sa silangang bahagi ng Luzon magiging maliit ang tiyansa ng thunderstorms dahil sa patuloy na epekto nitong ridge of high pressure area,” he added.
(We also expect that here in the eastern part of Luzon, the chance of thunderstorms will be small due to the ongoing impact of this ridge of high pressure area.)
Generally fair weather is also forecast in the entire Visayas and Mindanao; however, rain could still occur due to isolated thunderstorms especially during the afternoon until evening.
Ordinario also said that no low pressure area (LPA) is currently being monitored by Pagasa, which means no storms could enter the country’s area of responsibility within the next three to five days.
