LUCENA CITY—A motorcycle rider died Monday after his vehicle crashed into an electric post in Agoncillo town in Batangas province, a report said Tuesday.
Carlo Sangalang, 26, was driving his motorcycle when he bumped the electric post at the roadside in Barangay Guitna at around 9 p.m., the Batangas police said.
Sangalang suffered grave injuries and died while being taken to the Batangas Provincial Hospital in Lemery town.
The report did not state whether or not the fatality was wearing a crash helmet, which is required by the Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009.
