Active COVID-19 cases in Zambales down to three

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Two COVID-19 patients in this province have recovered from the viral disease, which brought down the number of active infections to three, local data showed Monday.

According to the Provincial Health Office, the two healed patients are from Botolan town, which still has one active COVID-19 case.

The two other remaining COVID-19 cases in the province are from the towns of Subic and Castillejos.

As of Monday, 10 of the 13 towns in the province remained free of COVID-19 after recording zero new COVID-19 cases for the past weeks.

Since the pandemic struck in 2020, Zambales has registered 11, 647 COVID-19 cases, but 11, 292 of these were already tagged as recoveries. At least 665 deaths related to the disease were also logged in the province. INQ
