The downpour prompted the city fire personnel to immediately remove the fallen trees that damaged some parked vehicles in Rizal Triangle.

At least four areas in Barangay Old Cabalan were flooded due to the intense rainfall that clogged and unfinished drainage worsened, said village officials.

The city and a large part of Luzon experienced scattered rainshowers due to the southwesterly surface wind flow affecting the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon, said the state weather bureau.

In its advisory on Thursday afternoon, the state weather bureau said moderate to heavy rains could trigger flash floods or landslides.
