MANILA, Philippines — Broadcaster and senator-elect Raffy Tulfo on Thursday bared his plan to take up Public Administration in preparation for his stint in the upper chamber.
“Mag-aaral ako [ng] Public Administration. Ako’y nag-scout na ng school para matuto ako,” he said when interviewed on CNN Philippines’ The Source.
(I will study Public Administration. I’m already scouting for a school so I can start learning.)
Since filing his certificate of candidacy in October last year, the political neophyte shared that he had started consulting with lawyers and former legislators to form and foolproof his plans.
“I know what I’m doing kasi meron akong karanasan sa mga batas na ipapapasa ko. However, I still need to learn. It’s a learning process. I still need to study, kaya nga mag-aaral ako,” he added.
(I know what I’m doing because I have experience with the laws I aim to pass. However, I still need to learn. It’s a learning process. I still need to study, so I’ll study.)
The Commission on Elections, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers, on Wednesday proclaimed the 12 winning senatorial candidates, including Tulfo who ranked third with 23.3 million votes.
