MANILA, Philippines — Two drug suspects were arrested by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in separate buy-bust operations in Cebu, where P6 million worth of crystal methamphetamine, locally known as “shabu”, were also confiscated.
According to PNP Officer-in-Charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr., the first apprehended suspect is identified as Bryan Justol, 20. He was nabbed Tuesday after the Cebu City Police Office conducted an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Duljo-Fatima.
Arresting officers confiscated 32 transparent packs of shabu estimated to be worth P4,760,000 from Justol.
Meanwhile, another suspect named Christine “Tin” Monte De Ramos, 26, was arrested in Toledo City on Wednesday morning.
Seized from her during the operation was 160 grams of shabu worth P1,088,000, according to police.
The PNP said the two suspects will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“We have another major anti-illegal drug operation that successfully nabbed a drug suspect. Rest assured that all our operations are based on careful intelligence gathering,” Danao said.
