Daily average COVID-19 cases in Central Luzon down to 10

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga ––The Department of Health Central Luzon (DOH-3) office said the daily average COVID-19 cases in the region had dropped from 26 to 10 early this May.

The agency said there were 136 new cases from May 3 to 9.

Between May 10 and 16, DOH-3 registered 126 new COVID-19 cases.

Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Bataan, Zambales, Nueva Ecija, and Aurora provinces, and the highly urbanized cities of Angeles and Olongapo comprise the region.

Central Luzon is under the most lenient COVID-19 Alert Level 1 from May 16 to May 31.

The Pampanga provincial government said there were only nine active COVID-19 cases in the province as of May 15.

The Angeles City government has five active cases after recording three new ones on May 17.

Aurora has been free of COVID-19 since March 23, the provincial government’s daily updates show. Its latest post was on May 15.
