MANILA, Philippines — Overcast skies and rain would persist in several parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, on Wednesday due to the southwesterly surface wind flow, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

(Areas on the western side of Northern and Central Luzon: Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan as well as Pampanga, Bulacan, Calabarzon, and Metro Manila, should expect cloudy skies with a high chance of rain especially in the afternoon until night caused by what we call southwesterly surface wind flow.)

The rest of Luzon, on the other hand, would experience generally fair weather conditions but rain should still be expected in the afternoon and evening due to isolated thunderstorms.

The same weather conditions would prevail over Visayas and Mindanao, the state weather bureau noted.

Pagasa then said the following temperature range in key cities/areas may be anticipated on Wednesday:

Despite the presence of the southwesterly surface wind flow and possible moderate to rough seas over the seaboards of extreme Northern Luzon, Pagasa did not raise any gale warning in its latest advisory.
