MANILA, Philippines — The frontal system will continue to bring overcast skies and rain in the area of extreme northern Luzon, as well as Ilocos Norte on Tuesday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Dahil sa patuloy na epekto nitong frontal system ay aasahan nating magpapatuloy itong maulap na papawirin na may mga pagulan dito sa extreme northern Luzon area kasama na diyan ang Ilocos Norte,” said Pagasa weather specialist Daniel James Villamil in a weather forecast, late Monday afternoon.
(Due to the ongoing impact of the frontal system we expect it to continue bringing cloudy skies with rains here in the extreme northern Luzon area including Ilocos Norte.)
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience generally fair weather with hot and humid conditions during the day time, however, Villamil said that rain due to thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening should still be expected.
“Sa mga susunod na araw ay aasahan na natin ang increased likelihood ng thunderstorm occurrences sa hapon at gabi, kaya pinapaalalahanan natin ang ating mga kababayan magdala ng payong,” he added.
(In the coming days we will expect an increased likelihood of thunderstorm occurrences in the afternoon and evening, so we remind our countrymen to bring an umbrella.)
