MANILA, Philippines — The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPRCV) received a total of 66,574 physical election returns (ERs), or 61.77 percent of the total returns, as of Monday afternoon.
These ERs will be used by the poll watchdog to verify if they match the electronic results from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) transparency server.
In an update, the PPCRV said that 40,292 ERs were from North and South Luzon, 10,033 were from Metro Manila, 11,614 were from Visayas, and 4,635 were from Mindanao.
Meanwhile, no ERs from overseas voters have arrived yet.
The first run of validation started on Thursday, but as of May 14, the matching rate is at 98.39 percent, with a 1.61 percent mismatch found in 240 ERs.

The PPCRV is set to operate only until May 20 in the PPCRV’s command center at the University of Santo Tomas’ Quadricentennial Pavilion.
Election returns are manually encoded by hundreds of volunteers to verify if they match the electronic results from the transparency server.
