Villafuertes continue to dominate Camarines Sur politics

PILI, Camarines Sur—The Commission on Elections in this town on Tuesday midnight officially proclaimed reelectionist Camarines Sur second district Rep. Luis Raymund “LRay” Villafuerte and his two sons Miguel Luis or Migs and Luigi as winners in the May 9 polls.
Representative LRay retained his seat in the second congressional district with over 100,000 votes.
The youngest Villafuerte, Luigi, will replace his brother Miguel Luis in the gubernatorial seat. Luigi won against former majority floor leader Rolando Andaya Jr. with a margin of 75,981 votes.
Miguel Luis will take over the congressional seat of the fifth district. Miguel Luis won against Iriga City Mayor Madel Alfelor with 153,852 votes.
