Calixto-Rubiano reelected as Pasay mayor
MANILA, Philippines — Emi Calixto-Rubiano was reelected as mayor of Pasay City to serve a second term as a local chief executive to the city.
“Thank you, Pasayeños, for your continued love and trust,” Rubiano said in a statement on Tuesday.
This, after she garnered 147,279 votes, defeating rival Richard Advincula, who only got 30,585 votes, according to the Commission on Elections’s partial and unofficial election returns as of Wednesday, 4:47 am.
Calixto-Rubiano was first elected mayor in 2019, succeeding her brother Antonio Calixto.
The incumbent mayor previously served as the representative of the city’s lone district from 2010 until 2019.
