Marcy Teodoro reelected as Marikina City mayor

MANILA, Philippines — Reelectionist Marcy Teodoro has been proclaimed winner of the Marikina City mayoral race on Tuesday.

Commission on Elections data showed that Teodoro received 183,878 votes and defeated  Marikina 1st District Representative Bayani Fernando, who garnered 40,149 votes.

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Marion Andres was likewise reelected with 147,869 votes.

Maan Teodoro won as the congresswoman of the first legislative district of Marikina while second legislative district representative Stella Quimbo will serve for another term.

As of Tuesday, 10:17 a.m., all 365 clustered precincts in the local government have transmitted election returns.
